Important bees feeding plant. Foraging plant. Edible plant - leaves raw or cooked as a potherb; roots cooked. Herbal plant - the plant is antirheumatic, antiscrophulatic, depurative, detergent and tonic; an infusion of the flowers has been used as an eyewash.
