The metallic-shining fly is Lucilia sericata, a very useful fly whose larvae, bred aseptically, are used to clean hard-to-heal wounds. The bee with pollen baskets is Apis mellifera. Synonyms: 'Potentilla fruticosa', 'Comocarpa fruticosa', 'Dasiphora riparia', 'Fragaria fruticosa', and about 20 others... It is spread over the Northern Hemisphere. Ornamental plant. Bees feeding plant. Edible plant. Herbal plant - a tea of dried leaves, stems, or roots is used to treat congestion, internal bleeding, and tuberculosis. Usable plant - seeds are a fair food source for small birds and mammals.
